Summer Session Calendar

Summer classes are offered in nine sessions that differ in length, plus a variable session in which dates are specific to an individual program. Summer classes are published in the Schedule of Classes. Detailed dates and deadlines for current-year summer sessions can be viewed on the Summer Sessions website. Room Scheduling Policy

Scheduling for general assignment (GA) classrooms is governed by UCLA Administrative Policy 870. Senate-approved, regular-term courses have priority in these rooms. Each term, department staff work with faculty to determine which classes to offer. After deciding on classes and a schedule, staff enter class data and time requests into the Student Record System (SRS). A job is run to place as many classes as possible at the times requested. General Assignment Classroom Inventory

Room capacity and type are documented for 190 general assignment classrooms throughout campus. UCLA has 190 general assignment (GA) classrooms in 22 campus buildings. Classrooms range in size from small seminar rooms with a capacity of 12 to large auditoria seating over 400. Over 9,000 classes each year are scheduled in GA classrooms. New department schedulers or those who need a refresher course can set up a training appointment. Training covers policies, procedures, and use of OASIS screens. Training is available to help new department schedulers learn the production cycle and how to use OASIS mainframe scheduling screens. Schedule of Classes Enrollment Report

The enrollment report is for use by departments to review class data as it appears in the Schedule of Classes. Department staff use the enrollment report to review, print, or download enrollment data for a selected term. The report can be exported to excel, PDF, or other formats. Authorized department schedulers use the department proof to review and correct class listings and class notes for the upcoming term. Class data is updated every five minutes.
