Course Materials Fees

Fees may be charged for materials used in laboratory, studio, and other courses. A per-class course materials fee (sometimes known as a lab fee) is assessed based on class enrollment as of Friday of the fourth week of the term. Students are assessed these fees regardless of major. Students are responsible for ensuring that all study list errors and omissions are corrected prior to the end of week two, when the study list becomes official. Examination Fees

Fees are charged for special examinations such as writing placement, online course proctoring, and credit by examination.

Document and Service Fees

There is a fee for some services such as processing or transmission. Exceptions to established deadlines (late submissions) can incur extra fees.

Transcript-Related Fees

There is no charge for academic transcripts that are covered by the one-time document fee. Charges for special delivery services may apply. Some paper transcript services provided by the UCLA Registrar, such as expedited service and express delivery, incur a fee. Registrar fees do not apply to transcripts sent by Parchment; those fees are set by the vendor.
